FYKAYS ENGINEERING PRIVATE LTD is a four-decade old OEM engaged in manufacturing & supply of around 70 products, including sophisticated microprocessor-based instruments and controllers, PC based systems, specialized probes and systems for Energy Conservation and Furnace Atmosphere Control, etc. the latest in the series being Bomb Thermocouples efficient BOF operations.
Fykays supplies various items to different Industrial & Research establishments all over India, including Railways, Aeronautics, Miniscule to Giant foundries, Ferrous and non-ferrous metal industries, Power plants, Cement, Sugar, Chemical and petrochemical plants and not to be left out educational institutions. The total of these customers exceeds 450 in India and 30 abroad.

Challenge
Fykays supplies it’s equipment to molten metal industries, heat treatment industries and re-rolling mills which are far off from the main cities. Servo stabilizers are provided to address voltage fluctuations but yet failures due to electrical issues remained a prime concern and a cause for loss in process cycle.

Evaluating the Situation
The Fykays team’s experience with using existing servo stabilizers in the market helped them to understand that addressing voltage fluctuations is not enough. Other electrical faults were also leading to ineffecient working of precision equipment and loss in process cycles.
Fykays took a policy decision to bundle POWEReasy System along with their equipment and have made it a part of their supply package.

The Benefits
POWEReasy has helped Fykays identify critical electrical conditions at client sites. An issues that was difficult for them to diagnose after multiple visits by the service engineers as no data and records of electrical power quality were available prior to installation of POWEReasy.
Bundelling of POWEReasy instead of a servo stabilizer has helped reduce power quality related downtime for Fykays analyzers and treatment systems.
