Jhaveri Power Labs, LLP

Dr. Tejas K. Jhaveri founded Jhaveri Power Labs, with a vision "To acheive 0 fatalities financed through energy savings". At Jhaveri Power Labs it is our mission to indigenously develop products that socially and economically motivate consumer to achieve complete electrical saftey, enery efficiency, and environmentally friendly practices without a change in lifestyles. The focus at the company is to bring to market products that are designed in India, designed for India and made in India.

Jhaveri Power Labs has its R&D facility and manufacturing unit in Mumbai. The company has developed the POWEReasy solution to solve the socio-‐economic problem associated with improving power quality and electrical safety in India. POWEReasy is the only system of its kind that ensures complete electrical safety and enables recovery of the investment through energy savings. POWEReasy has over 6.5 MVA of installed capacity to date and has saved over a million electricity units for its clients

About the Founder/Partners

Dr. Tejas K. Jhaveri has been an researcher, innovator, and entrepreneur in the U.S. over a decade. After moving back to India he has founded Jhaveri Labs with an unique vision to engineer solutions for critical socio-­‐economic problems in India. His technical expertise covers the areas of optics, electromagnetics, power electronics and semiconductors. He was co-­‐founder at Fabbrix Inc (acquired by PDF Solutions), executive director at DPMPL and has had held positions with PDF Solutions, Photronics, and Texas Instruments. His academic contributions includes a Special Faculty position at Carnegie Mellon University, the A. G. Milnes award. He appears in Marquis Who is Who in America, Science and Engineering Edition 2011-­‐2012. He has numerous publications, 2 US patents granted and several others patents in application. Dr. Jhaveri has a B.S in Microelectronics from Rochester Institute of Technology and M.S and Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Lalitesh Katragadda, is a partner at Jhaveri Power Labs LLP. He is a pioneer in crowdsourcing. His creation, Google Map Maker, tripled the world's digital maps corpus, mapping 3 billion people in 187 countries. His startup was Google’s first acquisition in 2002. He brought Google to India, co‐founding its first international engineering center and subsequently retired Head of India products to build products for the underserved. Lalitesh has since architected India’s Open API, AP’s Fiber Grid and founded Indihood, Swaja Labs. He founded CMU’s Lunar Rover project in 1993. Lalitesh received a PhD and MS from CMU in Robotics and Computer Science, MS from Design Division, Stanford, MS in Aerospace, lowa state and B-Tech from IIT-Bombay.
